Two Posts in one day .. must mean something ......

Anniversary dindin with Matt & Katie. Nothing was said about their meeting their "other Grandparent". Katie mentioned it on Face Book. It could have been her "Step Grandparents" and then again it could have been Ed & Karen. It really doesn't matter to me. That was another life and another time.

Good time at Fiesta Mariachi on Stringtown road and then off to "Cold Stone Creamery". DawnE and I called it the "Slabbery" .. silly us. Everything was yummmm. Matt & Katie liked the little things I got them. I gave them Matt's handprints I got from Dawn in 1991 when he was 4.

It was a good day.

Got a little bit more organizing done. Ralph gave me a 2" binder so I'm in good shape for "GETTING IT TOGETHER" (a fav older song .. memories)

It's late or early however you look at it 3AM. Nite nite ME

So I've been missn' the whole idea.

I've ignored my blog. I don't have anything to contribute to the world. Who am I to write in a blog??? AND think some one else would read it!!

The whole idea is to just share yourself, maybe just with yourself. What a concept. What an idea. So now I am free to write my "stuff" here .. just for me and maybe add some pictures of my "crafty stuff". I'm my own worst critic .. so let me critic me.

5 Question Friday.

1. How close to your childhood dreams is your life now?
Not at all. Wanted to care for animals .. dogs & cats. At this date not even a pet. There have been pets (dogs)in the past but none now. To much responsibilty at this stage of life.


2. What is one must have item for the summer?
ICE ICE AND MORE ICE. Ooops that is year round .. but more so in summer.


3. Do you have your kids stay up on school stuff during summer vacation? (Or, if you don't have kiddos, did your parents make you keep up on school stuff during summer?)
I did, the kids are Grandparents now.


4. Do you can or freeze fresh produce?
I did. Green beans, tomatoes, froze blackberries. Not anymore, grocery is easier .. mine tasted better.

5. Do you get ready for the day first thing in the morning?
No no no .. I love puttering around in my nightie (sleep shirt nothing reveling, giggle)

Welcome In Year of the Rabbit .. Alan

Here I am .. New Years Eve. Going to join Ralph and his girl friend Sue for an evening of eating and drinking. Linda has invited the rest of the building to a party in the community room. We were invited .. but we had already made these plans. Truth be known .. we would rather not go to THE party. Just staying out of controversy and confusion.

The refrence to Alan in the title .. RABBIT. Family secret.

Got to shower .. really over due. Want to make a No-Bake pumpkin cheesecake to take with this evening.

My world is good. After a not good experience wth a Home Care cleaning gal I got a good one yesterday afternoon. Lori is cheerful and talkative AND did a super super job. I look forward to a long relationship with her.

Now to the shower.

Awww .. so nice to be all cleany clean. Now for the cheesecake.

Shopping with Dawn Marie and Tristan

Dawn was very good to take me shopping today. Being Saturday 9yr old Tristan had to go with .. rough on him. Shopping for a suitable dress for the upcoming Wedding. I am so looking forward to being the Grandmother of the Groom.

Looked at Lane Bryant .. nothing. Checked JC Penny .. found just the right dress and a nice little purse to go with. All were within my budget. A very good day.

Tristan tried so hard to help. Finding the right size for us checking color and price with us. He was trying so hard to help. Dawn found several items, not necessiarly for the wedding. Her items were all on very good sale.

We stopped at Game Stop for Tristan to shop. Dawn and I found a place to sit. I was happy that Dawn used the cane. It takes pressure off the knee. We both had walked a bit. Tristan saw no reason to sit .. he's 9yrs old.

Headed out and decided to eat at the Food Court. Tristan was hungery .. for sure. Dawn and I enjoyed eating and sitting.

Headed home .. mission acomplished .. and a good time was had by all.

9/11 2010

Well I'm watching the History Channel. 9/11 102minutes. Remembering the beginning emotions. Jerry and I watched. Was online with Alan. Now I do the remembering alone. The emotions and the resounding ..."WHY". The heros of the day, the Police and Fire Department. And I am sure, like me, they were saying "WHY". Even today .. I say "WHY"?
